In 1928, the treasure of the Romanovs, kept in the Russian Orthodox Church in Belgrade, was stolen. The priest who interrupted the burglary was killed, and the sacred relic was gone. The seasoned police inspector Tanasijević and his new young colleague Pletikosić investigate the murder of the priest, not being aware of the missing treasure, or the proportions of the trouble they got themselves into.
