Up Against Them All is a story about the lies, treachery and vengeance of a middle-class family living on the outskirts of São Paulo. Four characters try desperately to change their lives, but are unable to escape their destiny.
Roberto Moreira is a drama teacher at ECA-USP’s Higher Audiovisual Studies course. He has written and directed short films such as O Cão Louco Mario Pedrosa (2003) and A Princesa Radar (1992), which participated in festivals in Italy, Sweden, Germany and Brazil. He received, with Jean-Claude Bernardet, the Best Screenplay Award at the Brasília Festival 96 for the feature-length film Um Céu de Estrelas, directed by Tata Amaral. He was apprentice at Fabrica in Italy, an institute of the Benetton Group.
